Anne Ahern, PhD, is a dually credentialed Licensed Clinical Psychologist and School Psychologist. Dr. Ahern earned a doctoral degree in School Psychology as well as a Master’s of Education from Loyola University Chicago. Prior to that, Dr Ahern earned a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology following receipt of her Bachelors degree in Psychology from Marquette University. For the past 13 years, Dr. Ahern has been serving as a school psychologist within the public school setting. As a school psychologist, Dr. Ahern is well-versed in completing psychoeducational evaluations to determine eligibility for special education services or eligibility under Section 504. Dr. Ahern’s experience includes working with students with learning disabilities, ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Intellectual Disabilities, anxiety, and depression. While working in schools, Dr. Ahern has worked on the development and implementation of behavior intervention plans, crisis management, and risk assessments. She has also served as a leader on school-based problem solving teams. In addition, Dr. Ahern has worked extensively with teenagers and young adults in need of transition programming.

Dr. Ahern feels passionately about helping families and school staff understand a student’s unique needs. Dr. Ahern strives to help students advocate for themselves so that they can be successful at school and within the adult world. In her free time, Dr. Ahern enjoys spending time with her husband and two children.
